Studio Owner/Instructor/Artistic Director.
Julie Reeves has been choreographing and teaching dance since 1983. Her experience includes dance teams, theater, talent shows, pageants, business shows, as well as studio and liturgical dance choreography and performances. She has a BS in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology (1990) and is a certified member of Dance Educators of America. Her training spans most her life in ballet, clogging, tap, jazz, pointe, and modern. She is also the Artistic Director of Steps of Faith Dance Company, the non-profit performance and ministry group based at the studio, and has led the group on both stateside and international mission trips. She is the Co-director of SELAH DTS housed by the Company. She also enjoys promoting the arts in the community as a Board member and Chairman of the Cultural Arts Alliance. She feels blessed by the Lord and honored to be director of SOF, which she has seen grow from 22 to 300 students in over fourteen years. Julie has 3 wonderful sons, Collin 19, Carter 17, Caleb 14, and dear daughter born in China, Caroline (almost 8yr old). She is honored to serve with the priceless support of her dear husband, Robby, of 23 years. She is excited about the growth of the Company this year, and about the expansion of classes SOF is able to offer!

Theresa Shampine has worked for SOF since 2001. Ms. Shampine has enjoyed teaching and choreographing at Steps of Faith for the last twelve years. She has worked closely with Ms. Reeves to develop a sound and annointed ballet-training program. Theresa is originally from Syracuse, New York and was a scholarship student at The Rock School of the Pennsylvania Ballet. She is a graduate of Mercyhurst College, where she received a BA in Dance. Professionally, she has danced with the Erie Ballet Theatre, Charleston Ballet Theatre, and The Georgia Ballet where she enjoyed being a featured dancer. She has one daughter Zella, and lives with her husband Jack in Canton.

Mary Binkley Marcengill has grown up at SOF, and has taught dance for over nine years at the studio, as well as in Florida and Texas, in preballet (preschool), tap/jazz, hiphop, and ballet. She trained for a year with Glory DanceMinistries in Tampa (now in HongKong) before returning to SOF for a year. Since 2008, she has been a vital member of a Discipleship Training School, and DanceCompany in Dallas TX associated with Dance Revolution, called Ingredients. Mary returned to SOF in Fall 2010 as an instructor and the co-director of SELAH! She has recently performed with the Refuge Dance Company in Atlanta. She married Josh Marcengill in March 2012! She has taken upon the additional responsibility of Rehearsal Coorindator Fall 2013.

Ashleyanne Hensley currently dances professionally at The Georgia Ballet in its company. Ashleyanne joined SOF in 2007 and teaches Company level ballet, modern, and pilates. Beginning Fall of 2013, she will be SOF's new Ballet MIstress, leading our Company into the next decade continueing as a leader in dance training in NW Georgia. Since being a contestant in the Miss Georgia Pageant, she has also coached winning girls for local pageants. She is married to Sam Hensley. She also owns and operates her own dancewear company, “Ashleyanne” Designer Fashions and Dancewear. She represented Cobb County in the Mrs. Georgia Pageant in January 2011, and competed again in 2012. We are thrilled to have her increase her responsibilities here at SOF!

Ms. Myers joins us officially on staff January of 2010. She has been a favorite guest teacher for many years. Colleen trained with the Atlanta Ballet, and earned her BFA in Ballet Performance in 2001 from Texas Christian University. She danced professionally with the Georgia Ballet, and has taught at Eastside School of Ballet and First Baptist Dallas Celebration Company. She is also a registered nurse at Kennestone Women's Services! She is married and has one young daughter, Julianne and one young son, Evan.
Christina Alexandersen grew up in White Georgia where she trained at Steps of Faith Dance Company in Cartersville Georgia, training under Theresa Shampine, Julie Reeves, and Ashleyanne Hensley. Christina began dancing at the age of 4 years old and has danced with such programs as the Georgia Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and the Radio City Rockettes where she had the opportunity to perform at Radio City Music Hall. She has also had the opportunity to take dance onto the mission field to places such as Norway, Sweden, Trinidad, and she was the assistant coordinator for an arts mission trip to Spain. Christina became a dance instructor at the age of 15 teaching at Steps of Faith and went on to choreograph for churches around North Georgia and teach at conferences such as the Fellowship of Christian Puppeteers and the Mississippi Baptist Fine Arts conference. When Christina graduated from High school, she went on to study dance at Belhaven University in Jackson Mississippi. After 3 semesters, Christina suffered an injury that required surgery, therefore, was advised to change her major. She is currently studying Anthropology at Lee University to further her goal of spreading the Love of Jesus through dance to the nations. In the spring Christina will have to opportunity to study dance and missions with Operation Mobilization in Italy for 4 months. Currently Christina is the assistant director for the Cleveland Academy of Arts in Cleveland TN, and an instructor at Steps of Faith Dance Company. She thanks God every day that she still has the ability to dance and to have the chance to pour into young striving artists.

Tiffany Tindall studied dance for the past 32 years and has over 16 years of teaching experience. She studied with several dance schools growing up, and earned a Bachelors degree in Dance Education from the University of Georgia. She taught dance for numerous studios in the private sector as well as in public education, creating and directing dance education programs for McCleskey, Awtrey, and Barber Middle Schools in the Cobb County School District. She was named as Teacher of the Year for Barber Middle School for the 2006-2007 school year, and served on the committee which crafted the Georgia Power Standards for Dance Education in 2009. In addition to dance training, Tiffany also earned a M.Ed and a Sp.Ed in Educational Administration from Jacksonville State University. She is serving as treasurer for the Cartersville-Bartow County Cultural Arts Alliance, and as a choreographer for various musical productions through The Grand Theatre. She is active at Church of the Ascension Episcopal Church, serving as Chairperson of the Outreach Committee. “I am very excited about the opportunity to be a member of the Steps of Faith Faculty!”
